Sing It Adults!

As I promised, the next set of lyrics/stanzas/prompts are here and it’s a Thursday! I told you guys they would keep coming! I realize I haven’t been great at posting often, but that is going to start changing, starting with this weekly post that will appear every Thursday.

Now, I made a category for it called, “Sing It!” And I am unsure of what that really does, so if anyone could enlighten me, that would be great! I will list off any creature-thing after the start title. So everything will be, “Sing It _____”. As I’m sure you can already gather, this is going to get interesting!

What can I do with these given words?

I’m glad you asked! I may answer this in every post in this category, so if you already know, just skip these three paragraphs. Okay! So, I like to write, but I don’t normally manage to write a full song, a full poem, or a full story. I try much harder with stories, but I have a lot of ideas, so I don’t mind sharing, especially since you can take words in so many different directions and I believe every outcome will be unique and not like any other.

If you are an artist and want to make a song from what I give, go ahead! You and your band can synchronize or you can just sing it alone, whichever works. I want to give to you guys because just the fact that you are reading this brings me much joy and I want to give you something back in return!

If you have not seen my first and only other post in this series, click here.

Alright, so now everybody knows how this works. I have many lyrics that I have almost completed a song with, so I will only share a little bit of it in the post and then later, after some of you have seen it and have gotten ideas made up, I will post the rest of what I have in the comments so that you don’t have to read it, but you can see where I took it, if you wish! So, here we go:

You’re making that noise
Do you hear that sound?
The clock ticks fast
But we slow down
Love is in air
Can you hear it roar?
We’re all here
So what are you waiting for?

We just wanna be free
And shout with glee
As our hearts pound
Only now when you’re around
So grab my hand
We’ll lift them up
As the song yells out
“We! Won’t! Give! Up!”

Alright! I never finished this one, but tomorrow morning I will post the rest of what I have. In the meantime, I would love to see what you amazing people have come up with! If you don’t finish your idea tonight, that is perfectly fine! Just come back here and comment once you have something if you wish to share. If not, I just hope that you enjoy and make some great creations with it! Thank you for checking this out and good luck!

  1. Here is the rest of what I had. Sorry, I meant to comment sooner, but I got busy. Anyways, here it is:

    You’re making that noise
    Do you hear that sound?
    The clock ticks fast
    But we slow down
    Love is in air
    Can you hear it roar?
    We’re all here
So what are you waiting for?

    We just wanna be free
    And shout with glee
    As our hearts pound
    Only now when you’re around
    So grab my hand
    We’ll lift them up
    As the song yells out
    “We! Won’t! Give! Up!”

    And we all sing along
Even though it might sound wrong
We just want to be heard
    And given our freedom

    And standing here
    We’ll see happiness for once
    As we shed no tears
And fight for what we want

    We are free tonight
    We have every right
    To feel good inside
And now, now we’re coming to life

    Our hearts open wide
As we scream out the words
    And finally feel alright
As the pain no longer hurts
    We’re broken inside
    But now we have words

I suppose that could be considered as finished, but I always wanted to add more to it or make it better. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading it and wish to make your own song or poem or even use it to come up with a story!
